EDF released excellent H1 2013 results this morning. EBITDA rose 6.9% to EUR9.7bn (vs. consensus of c. EUR9.2bn, triggered by favourable weather conditions and gas contract renegotiations in Italy. Ex-Edison, EBITDA increased ~1.9%, vs. FY guidance of 0-3% and is pretty much in-line with expectations. As H2 was initially expected to be better than H1 and the group will benefit from higher tariffs, FY13 guidance is increased to at least 3.0% of EBITDA growth ex-Edison. A webcast will be held at 9am CET (link).
