Bryan, Garnier & Co advises Ogone Payment Services and its main shareholder Summit Partners on the acquisition of EBS (E-Billing Solutions)

Paris, New Delhi, September 27th, 2011 – Bryan, Garnier & Co, the investment bank focused on growth companies, is proud to announce that it has acted as sole financial advisor to Ogone Payment Services and its main shareholder Summit Partners on the acquisition of EBS (E-Billing Solutions) for an undisclosed sum.

Thanks to the acquisition of EBS, the second largest independent online payment services provider in India, Ogone has entered the rapidly expanding Indian payments market. This represents Ogone’s first acquisition and its first move outside the European market.

Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Ogone is one of the main European service providers specialized in the processing of online payments, with more than 30.000 customers in 45 countries. The company provides a range of electronic payment solutions covering a number of areas, including e-commerce, ticketing, call centres or the hotel industry.

EBS is one of the pioneers in the online payment processing industry in India and one of the very few private players in the market with a revolutionary combination of IT firm and Financial Institution. EBS witnessed commendable growth over the years with a 300% increase in its merchant base. EBS has offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.

The key management team will continue with the firm in building Ogone’s India franchise. In addition, EBS will gain strategic advantage with the help of Ogone’s global best practices, innovative products targeted towards various stakeholders and most importantly, acting as the gateway to Ogone’s large roster of international clients.
